All things comics!

by admin on March 8, 2019

You might not know it looking at me, but I grew up reading comics. I couldn’t resist the dramatic drawings of idealistic heroes jumping around saving people (and getting into trouble). It was like watching a movie, but at your own pace. You could imagine yourself in a big city at night, on top of a building, or in a fancy restaurant, or in an alley. And the story kept going, month after month it would keep coming, subplots multiplying like weeds. I tried to draw my own as a teen, but never finished. Well now I have, and my second one is on the way, due in April.

For those of you who want to experience a Comic Convention, but in a smaller way, come to Walkerton library this Saturday from 10-4. I will be selling supplies of course, and giving demos in drawing, inking, storyboarding, and the use of a camera lucida. Presentation at 1pm.
